“Asylum is an artist led organisation based in Caroline Gardens Chapel in Peckham, London.  It was founded in 2010 and is directed by artists Jo Dennis and Dido Hallett.Maverick Projects uses the chapel as a project and exhibition space, hires it out for events, weddings and funeral wakes and as a location for film and photography. Its capacity is 120 in theatre style seating.”

On the 28th June 2016 Peckham weeklies together with the CASS, UCL and LSE are hosted an event called ‘Knock’d ’em in the Old Kent Road’. The event displayed recent studies of the Old Kent Road along with a series of short talks with speakers including including Richard Lee (a founder and director of the Jerwood Space in Bankside) , UCL research fellow Elena Besussi, Mark Brearley, local business owner and professor at the Cass School of Architecture, Nicolas Okwulu of Pempeople and Peckham’s Pearly King.
